TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

My overall teaching philosophy is to help students enjoy the process of making art. As an adult educator, I believe art is an individual journey. Creativity should be personal, playful, and insightful. I want to help students both experience the journey and find their own way while remaining open to the learning process. With a PhD in adult education, and as an Artist Educator for Golden Acrylics, I combine my love for painting with my love for teaching. I offer workshops and classes both in person and on-line, focusing on helping students learn about themselves through creating. My curiosity and willingness to experiment is rather endless and that is how I like to teach. |
